Motorola Q In Thailand?

Featured Replies

hi - motorola doesnt sell the Q in south east asia - anybody knows a dealer in bangkok though who imports it?

Yeah me too!

Am DYING to get my hands on one of those beauties

Hey

I don't know if $ 400 for an unlocked Q is reasonable or not, but thats what they seem to be selling for on eBay. Most will ship internationally.

Regards

Peter

I didn't think the GSM Q was available yet; Verizon in the US had an exclusive deal for the first few months, and they are a TDMA network.

Buyer Beware if you go for eBay!

Hey

I have no idea if the Mororola Q will work in Thailand, but this is an extract from the Technical Spec. of the Motorola Q....: CDMA 800 / CDMA 1900.

Peter

Yeah me too! I love the qwerty keyboard for data entry and the overall style of the phone. My only concern is the screen. Anyone know if the screen is bigger than that of the treo 650/700? I like a nicely sized screen for surfing. The treo screen is too tiny!

from what I gathered the Q's screen is 240 x 320 pixels - compared to my treo 650's 320 x 320. a plus for the treo ... hard choices ahead ... by the time the Q gets here we may even have a new GSM treo ...

Changed my mind now. After further reading and listening to the new Mobility Today podcast I found out that the moto Q doesn't have a touch screen!

I'm a blackberry fan, and while I think the Q has a nice form factor, I would stay away from the Windows Mobile software. (Although with Windows Mobile it is much easier to switch providers or use a pre-paid plan.)

Personally, I don't think the touchscreen buys you much if you don't have character recognition. It eliminates the ability to use the device with one hand. To each his own.
