Hello

There was a topic opened but it has been archived.

I bought True 3G mifi, very quick but 5Gb is really too little for me.

Seems CAT CDMA is unlimited. I would like to know if it is good, and which Mifi router to use (some models are good, some are not)? Does it uses simcard (maybe I can put in my True Mifi...)? And to they have stock in Nathon?

Do you know if they still have only 1 shop in Samui, at Nathon? (nothing in Central? :P)

I know some from here do use CAT CDMA smile.png

Many thanks!

PS, for the record, www.speedtest.net gives 5-13Mb download for True 3G (while you are in 3G plus), and once it's over, only about 0.3Mb...!

Told you you would not be happy with True, rolleyes.giffacepalm.gif Good luck on getting your money back on it,....

As far as I know, CATCDMA dongle no longer available. I used to use it, it was excellent! They stopped it about a year and half ago.

The CAT office is in Nathon above the post office near the pier.... They now, provide land lines but not dongle service. ... but stop by and ask if things have changed again lately.

Really your best bet in my opinion is to get 3BB but you have to do a year contract... (as a farang at least) Good reception, may of course vary in different areas... I have used in two locations in Maenam with no complaint. Wifi is good off the modem they provide too. thumbsup.gif about 900 baht a month 8% discount if paid one year in advance...wink.png

Thanks...

When you say 3BB.. do you mean 3BB wifi? ADSL? Because no 3bb wifi near me

And can't have my own landline.

Thanks

Yes has land line, ADSL to modem then you can connect either direct with LAN line or use Wifi...

Don't understand why you cannot have a land line put in, they do it free for a certain distance.... and fairly cheap per meter if is not too far from source box.

I had a friend trying to do what you are trying to do, with no good result,(Tried True and then had CAT put in a line, this was fairly recently) .... and ended up putting a ADSL line in a long way from source point... cost them 30,000 baht w00t.gifsad.png
