Do I need tourist visa if making visit to Burma too?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm going to Thailand from UK for 2 months so I should apply for a Tourist visa, however, I have plan to visit Burma which I guess will finish my Tourist visa? If I don't have a visa and rely on exemptions, will the airline (etihad) let me on the plane and will I be given a 30 day exemption at Phuket?

Ask the airline it is their decision.

You could get a 2 entry tourist visa instead of single entry.

Or you could could get a re-entry permit at immigration to keep your 60 day entry valid when leave. A single re-entry permit costs 1000 baht. When you return for Myanmar you would get the same permit to stay you got when you entered the country with your tourist visa.

Either of the above would solve your problem and would cost about the same.
