Fastest mail delivery service UK to Thailand?

Featured Replies

I need to send a couple of documents - (3 or 4 pieces of A4 paper) to Thailand, from the UK. If I fold them and put them in an envelope, what is the fastest way of getting them to Thailand - EMS, DHL, Fedex ?

I used DHL recently to send a big folder (visa supporting docs) to Thailand and it was very quick - took 3 days. But I don't want to pay £36 to send a small envelope.

What are my options?

stick it normal mail ,takes 7 days to bkk area, make sure address is in Thai.

I don't have 7 days. 3 or 4 days max. Any other options?

FedEx costs just over 1000 Baht for lightweight documents but they are a bunch of pricks for incoming mail so it's better to boycott them altogether.

The last time I used them it did take 5 or 6 days in total including a weekend as the 'package' containing one piece of signed printed paper was held up in customs for 2 days.

I suggest FedEx or DHL. If you need it delivering quickly then you have to pay the premium.

Sorry top be blunt but YES, but you dont want to pay, or is the question I want to send something fast and cheap?

Perhaps send them by fax ?

Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet - RoyalMail ParcelForce is roughly same price as DHL, so DHL it is (£36).

i take it you cant scan and email

As I just mentioned in another thread keep in mind that for much of the journey it will be with the same people anyway. (Thai post service)

DHL and all those guys only have hubs and basically post it from there. As it sounds like you are sending to somewhere rural keep this in mind.
