online shopping tax

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

When I moved to Thailand I was sending myself packets with music vinyl, and I had to go to an Post Office near Don Mueang Airport and payed a lot of Tax for the imported products.

I want to order some vinyl at a german online shop. They deliver worldwide. Do you guys think I have to pay tax for this as well?

Any experiences?

Thanks

Any products imported into any country are subject to duties and taxes. Only inside the EU this has been abolished AFAIK.

But goods imported into Thailand are certainly subject to import duties and 7% vat.

If it is coming by post mail, it might be that it slips under the radar, but this cannot be construed as a duty or tax exempt.
