August 5, 201411 yr Allegedly it used to be smuggled across the border in Nong Khai by Thai utility workers working in Laos. It was then allegedly sold in Udon. I allegedly bought 5 cases @ 500 baht a case, allegedly. Don't know though.
August 5, 201411 yr Most people would want the paper strips stuck across the bottle tops showing tax has been paid then there are no problems if caught in LOS by the authorities. Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

September 24, 201411 yr I've had supplies from a few different sources and the beer-taste seems to have gone downhill lately (out of date stock or copies????no idea) Has anyone else noticed a change???
September 24, 201411 yr My friend told me the same and he got them from Ubon.Central Plazza .Bad bitter taste.
September 26, 201411 yr Beer Lao, the typical the grass is always greener at the other side syndrome. No doubt beers from even less developed countries than Thailand like Lao or Cambodia MUST be better, only because they are from another country and limited available here I bet expats onthe Laovisa forum crave for a Chang beer There is no Thai beer similar to Beerlao dark... There are no Thai beers at all, Thai 'beer' are all gassy lagers, Lao dark is a far superior drink in all respects, 53 baht in foodland, tops is expensive. Anyone seen lao gold or that other one lan on sale here? You make it seem that Lao Dark is comparable to the Tetley's beer from the UK. Totally flat, and not a hint of alcohol.
