City police commissioner Camronwit to be transferred : police chief

BANGKOK: -- National police chief Gen Adul Saengsingkaew on Thursday confirmed news report that Metropolitan Police Commissioner Camronwit Toopgrajank would be transferred out of Bangkok.

Camronwit who has close ties with fugitive ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra will swap the position with Provincial Police Region 5 Commissioner Lt Gen Suthep Dejraksa, Adul said.

He added Assistant police chief Pol Lt Gen Ekkarat Meeprecha resigned due to health problem, so Pol Lt Gen Jongjet Aojenpong, Police Hospital director will replace him.

    BANGKOK: -- Metropolitan police commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Kamronwit Thoopkrachang will be transferred to Chiang Mai.

    News of the proposed transfer of Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit from Bangkok to Region Five provincial police command based in Chiang Mai was confirmed by National police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew on Thursday.

    Kamronwit who has close ties with fugitive ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra will swap the position with Region Five Provincial Police commissioner Lt Gen Suthep Dejraksa, Adul said.

    He added assistant police chief Pol Lt Gen Ekkarat Meeprecha resigned due to health problem, so Pol Lt Gen Jongjet Aojenpong, Police General Hospital director will replace him.

    The proposed transfer list will be forwarded to the Police Committee for endorsement.
