Dependent Visa for 3 years old child

Featured Replies

My friend asked me about how much she's going to pay for dependent visa for her child to travel Thailand,

and what documents should be provided.

Any help?

Thanks.

Moved to Thai visas forum.

There is no dependent visa. There is a non immigrant O visa based upon visiting family. This would require a birth certificate (in English or Thai) to prove the relationship, copies of the parent's passport photo page and their extension of stay obtained from immigration. Cost is 2000 baht for a single entry.

Some embassies and consulates will also issue the non-o if the parent has a non immigrant visa.

Then after arriving in Thailand they could apply for an extension of stay as the dependent of the parent who has an extension of stay. The documents required would be the same as for the visa. But if the birth certificate is not in English the translation to Thai would have to be certified by the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

Cost is 1900 baht.
