Hello

I need to have documents for my marriage legalized and wanted to know if this part of the chaeng wattana complex had opened again. Can't seem to get through to them on the phone.

Thanks

Hi. I was just up there to deal with this and took a taxi all the way out there only to find it closed (the taxi driver didn't know it was closed.) The security guards handed me a piece of paper to the Esplanade Mall which I thought was strange, but went there and sure enough, the office is there temporarily. Sure is a lot easier to get to, you just take the MRT to the Thailand Cultural Center and it's just right by the exit there (I don't know Bangkok that well, I live in Phuket but I sure love the public transportation you have in your fine city.)

    MFA is on Level G.
They have to check your translation and that takes 2-3 hours. After that you can go back and pick up the documents or as in my case, they mailed them to me by EMS. I was there on Wednesday, I got the documents here on Friday. Easy.

Oh, and I tried to call as well but no one answered (I got their information from the US Embassy website which is out of date since the MFA closed in January this year.) So I hope this saves some people some time, hassle and taxi fare.
