'Where you come from? What your Job? How long you stay Thailand?'
Stop trolling me and reply to things that interest you. If you don't understand something, have no knowledge of it, then sit back and learn. Quoting a line from someone's reply takes away from the full meaning of it's entirety, and causes some to take sides. If you disagree with anyone's statement here, but don't have experience in the matter, it's best to stay out out of it. Pedantic nah, just that I'm more concerned with accuracy than personal opinions. But keep assuming, and you're slowly but surely entering those few here in that category. -

Finance Foreign Nationals Face Account Bans in Bangkok Bank Crackdown
Unless and until the Thai authorities stop blaming foreigners for their own short-sighted shortcomings they will continue to wring their hands as they leach money to their neighbours in the region. I have worked hard all my life to spend my pension pot in Thailand, now it appears they don't want it. -

Blacklisted from India, effect Thai immigration?
That's a valid point. I would get a new passport in such circumstances - when there is anything "bad" in there, which might affect entry into another country. Per reports that Thai denial-of-entry are often not logged by Immigration (another thread), a new passport could also be useful for these cases. -

Finance Foreign Nationals Face Account Bans in Bangkok Bank Crackdown
So you think Bangkok Bank has a lot of dodgy accounts? It was a branch of SCB in Pattaya where the four employees were found to be involved with improperly setting up accounts for foreigners who did not qualify. That's quite a blinkered view. Just as some Thai bank employees may be dishonest, I would suggest the amount of dishonest foreigners living in Thailand is far, far higher. Why does a bona fide tourist need a bank account in any country where he doesn't live?
