Renewing Non-B education VISA in Lad Phrao

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd post a quick note so others don't waste their time like I did!

When you arrive:

1) Go straight to section N. This is not clearly marked and I waited in the main line with the vague signage displaying "90 day extension". When I reached the head of the line (after around 30 minutes) the immigration officer told me I was in the wrong line

2) When at N, get a queue number. This is not clearly marked. But then again, maybe my common sense was a bit lacking as I should have realized that instead of looking for a big sign

3) Sit down and wait for your number to be called

Make sure you have all your paperwork ready (photograph of passport, VISA page, forms filled out with photo attached and 1900 baht).

I hope this helps save you a bit of time, especially in regards to point 1. I spoke to one of the other guys in the same situation and he also did the same thing, so I guess this may help in some way!

I should have realized that instead of looking for a big sign ...

Never heard of someone renewing a visa. Possibly you were getting an extension of stay?
