May 4, 201412 yr i am looking for a long acting snd effective insulin (type 2) plus a good doc who is patient focused (not money)? Sent from my GT-S7270 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
May 4, 201412 yr Have you been advised by a Doctor to use insulin? If not then your first priority is to consult an endocrinologist and have your diabetic state fully evaluated. Do not attempt to self prescribe insulin doing so could prove fatal! If you state where in Thailand you are members will suggest appropriate doctor(s )

May 4, 201412 yr Author i have thorough knowledge of insulin use abd have been using it for 8 years as prescribed by my doctor (not in thailand). the problem i have in thailand is that i can not find a doc that understands diabetes and insulin use....true! i have no faith in the knowledge doctors possess here in thailand....so i am looking for a good referral. didn't realize that this would be so difficult a request Sent from my GT-S7270 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
May 4, 201412 yr Lantus is available in Thailand. There are many Doctors who "understand" insulin and diabetes ! Try looking here for a Doctor http://www.bumrungrad.com/en/search-for-a-thailand-doctor Notice the first Dr on the list ! His Board certifications would suggest he has more than a "little" knowledge about diabetes ! - Diplomate of The American Board of Internal Medicine, 1974- Diplomate of The American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, 1975Fellowships:- Endocrinology and Metabolism, Downstate Medical Center, New York, USA, 1974-1976Academic Rank: Professor, Mahidol University, ThailandSpecial Clinical Interests:- Diabetes, Thyroid Edited May 4, 201412 yr by thepool
May 4, 201412 yr If you're at Bang Na I would suggest going to Thai Nakarin Hospital. It is a few hundred meters past Central Bang Na. It is a clean hospital with very good service. Like any hospital in Thailand it is a flip of the coin as to the quality and honesty of the Doctor you get but you could do much worse than Thai Nakarin. It has made great efforts to be recognized as an International Hospital complete with a quartet playing classical music in the lobby. They have a Diabetes Clinic. http://www.thainakarin.co.th/en/center_detail.php?cen_id=31 Edited May 4, 201412 yr by healthbkkbkk
