the lovely fountain at central

ok this is not important
but indicative of the culture

there is an amazing fountain on the beach side of central
that had 5 or 6 tiers and timed intermittent sprays
now sadly only two work
wonder when and if this will be fixed

this indicative of a big diff between living in the west and here

maintenance and upkeep

the fountain i CAN live without, other things i still can not completely

Have you gone to the main office in Central and asked? Asking us members on Thai Visa will not get the fountain fixed. In fact, I would almost place a bet that the "ones in charge" aren't even aware of a fountain that doesn't work.

Unfortunately, maintenance is rarely performed here. Pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, streets, etc. I think they make more money having to rebuild everything in a few years as opposed to maintaining things??
