90 day check in on ed. visa

Featured Replies

i am due to check in and pay at my 90 days on may 24. Does anyone know if this can be done ahead of time or does it need to be done within 1 or 2 days of the check in..Also, any good insight on a speedy immigration place in town. i stay in bang kapi, but can take the boat in easily into town around asoke area.

thanks for any help

If you are on a three month extension you have 2 jobs to do. First is to report your presence to immigration using the relevant notice of stay over 90days form. The second is to apply for and pay an extension of stay in the kingdom.

They are seperate tasks. Not reporting your 90 days gets a fine of 2000 baht.

I assume you are now on a 90 day entry obtained from a non-ed visa and are asking about doing your first extension of stay based upon attending school.

With documents from the school you can apply for the extension of stay during the last 30 days of your entry or extension.

You will need to apply at one the two temporary offices mentioned here: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/popup_anounce.html

You will not need to do a 90 day report for the first 90 days but will need to do them for the next periods if you are in the country for more than 90 days.
