I need grain achohol for wet plate photography. In the US its called Everclear. Is it available in Thailand?

You might want to try pharmacies or even medical suppliers. Any forms of alcohol that might be open to abuse are probably controlled.

Maybe even try Thai Alcohol Co.Ltd for leads.

I've got some, got it from Alaska 95% is that the stuff you mean? Not exactly enjoyable, didn't realise it was on general sale due tothe high %

I have bought methanol at paint stores as as a thinner.

I don't know if they have ethanol, but that's the first place I'd try. It will probably be denatured to make sure it's not used in the punch.

I've also bought some concentration of ethanol in Boots, but I don't recall the strength, and it's tinted blue, just like their isopropanol.

Next to Ekamai Bus Station there is a school supply center. If you are looking at the station, its on your right hand side. Second floor at the back. Plenty of pure ethanol and methanol along with a few other chems. The ethanol is about 100 baht.
