Tom420
dumb............. Not really, I think it is great. If I were to get caught I would make a field day of it,I would slam the police in Thai slurs, say things about the Thai police and laws to the cameras (in Thai) and probably do my best to make light of the situation unlike everyone else who seems to sit there looking glum whilst the police appear happy, content and as if they have jizzed in their pants Edited May 14, 2014 by Tom420

Tom420
Clearly the pot smoking has caused some brain damage. Right couple of fools. Smoking weed causes brain damage now does it? I have no words... Sheer ignorance again, people claiming things like, oh they look so out of it, they must be on ecstasy or ketamine as well' How about maybe they are just making light of the situation and good for them, such a small amount of a harmless substance. This couple made my day, and no they will not be facing jail time, trust me on that one.

Popular Post Maggusoil
In a country with one of the world's highest drunk driving fatality rates. Yeah, and that stupid drug, which destroys families and kills more people than literally any other, is perfectly legal! Can not solely blame the Thai's for not making sense on this one though; just about every country in the world says "yes" to people getting plastered and acting like fools and driving around in 3000-pound missiles while saying "no" to a harmless plant which has literally never killed anyone. All these countries, were pressured by the Americans to enact these laws. Being able to get a little high, by growing something in the backyard or a window box, has serious implications for the booze industry and taxation. The American government, and likewise other governments, are not interested in our personal health and wellbeing. They can't make money from people doing it for themselves. Its all about money.

I take it that you prefer speed / beer? The real idiots here are those that don't realise that if all in this country would be smoking pot instead of washing ya ba and ya ice down with copious amounts of alcohol this would be a much better place. How True....

True, and the fact that the alcohol industry has a monopoly over governments keeps things that are far less harmful illegal. The only thing that gets punished when you get drunk is your liver, maybe your dignity and those around you depending on how you act.

The Worst part about it is my native country is very much to blame for this.....US government bribing and insisting Thai's rid the country of the weed taking a plant that has been used recreationally and medicinally in this country for centuries and then ironically after seeing the failed prohibition themselves (USA) have started to take measures to reverse the illegality of a weed that as said before has never hurt anyone.. Yes the country would be MUCH better place if the farmers went down to their local store for a few bong rips instead of a few lao khao shots, but just my opinion
Popular Post Kerryd
5k under the table, the "evidence" goes "up in smoke" and the happy couple leave slightly poorer (and no smarter). I've known a lot of hard-core weed smokers over the years (never touch drugs myself, but I'm often on best terms with Jack Daniels, but sometimes little Bailey's or Kaluha makes a nice change). Friends back in Canada years ago used to devote years to plant cultivation, hybrids, splicing, etc to try and produce the highest possible THC content they could. Their pot made ever other kind of pot look like skunk weed. Surprise, surprise. It just wasn't enough though, was it ? Some of them would smoke pot as often as I smoked cigarettes (back when I was still smoking). Smoking 4 joints between waking up and getting to the job site 90 minutes later was not uncommon. Meanwhile, weekend parties ? Seems even that hi-grade weed just wouldn't give enough of a buzz. But hey, add a little "something" to it (usually in a white powder form) and then convince people that super buzz was from the weed ? That's when I stopped hanging out with that crowd. If they had to add PCP or other drugs to their high-grade weed, and then get other people smoking it (without knowing what they were smoking), then something was wrong. Great way to loosen someone's "inhibitions" though. Maybe get them to try something "else" that'll be sure to give them the same kind of high. And once they're stoned, well, who knows........ I also know people that just smoke regular pot - basically whatever they can get their hands on. And after years and years, they too smoke it as often as most people smoke cigarettes. It's not hard to see the drooping eyes, slurred speech and mental lapses. I'm sure it's nothing to do with heavy pot smoking though, because everyone keeps saying how wonderful it is. But just like alcohol - in moderation it's not that bad. But abuse it and consume large quantities all the time and you'll end up just as screwed up as if you did the same thing with pot. Popular Post Guitar God
The "white powder" they were adding to joints was probably just dry-sifted resin glands from the cannabis they grew. It's quite common to do because it's the only pharmacologically active part of the plant. The rest is just plant material which produce tars and other unhealthy by-products when burned. Some experts say that smoking the whole but rather than just the resin is like eating a pizza and consuming the box too. If you smoke a lot, like two of my friends who have chronic back pain due to spinal cord injuries, you can get accustomed to it and consume more than you used to. One has a license to produce in Canada and smokes 30+ grams a day. His lung function was tested in the 80 percentile and he never looks like the "typical" stoner. No slurred speech, memory lapses etc. The other is a PhD, smokes during breaks at work and has a better memory than me and probably the majority of people here who don't smoke. The worst side effect of cannabis is the laws against it. It's immoral IMO to put people in a cage for smoking a harmless herb. 5k under the table, the "evidence" goes "up in smoke" and the happy couple leave slightly poorer (and no smarter). rebelplatoon
Hua Hi hi hi hi Hin! Anyways, wouldn't be too sure about what happens. In my times have seen quite a few get off with a reprimand (and paying under the table) not with large quantities, but this looks like hardly anything. All countries should start reconsidering anyway. It IS a proven herb. Glaucoma, cancer, pain, intestinal problems, high blood pressure, to name but a few. Do agree they are silly to be arrested like this.
