BANGKOK: -- A People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) leader on Thursday condemned the M-79 attack on the Rajadomneon rally site and assured the public that that the attack would not affect the PDRC's objectives.

PDRC core leader Thaworn Senneam described the attacks early this morning, which killed at least three people, as outrageously violent.

He said that the PDRC guards had tried their best to secure the rally site. "But because of its large size, it's very hard to control safety. The size also facilitates the attacks," Thaworn said.

He also called on the security authorities to impose stricter control at the checkpoints surrounding the rally site, pointing out that no arrests had been made in this or earlier attacks. Even after today's incidents, officers at the checkpoints had failed to search anybody for weapons

He noted that the PDRC’s secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban had admitted that the attack would discourage protesters, the PDRC would not deviate from its goals.

With so many IEDs within their midst, need they really have to put the blame on other people for these explosions?

The Capo vowed to protect the red shirt demonstrators from violence from the anti government camp, but no one from the Capo, government or police are interested in protecting the anti-government supporters.

If these attacks go on, the military has no other option then to step in, and then the red shirts, and red skirt writers here on Thaivisa can cry foul over a coup.

But that coup is just what the UDD, PT and mr. Dubai want.

That gives them a reason to fight an armed struggle for independence from BKK and to show the world that the Dems. were the evil once, by letting the army stage a coup.

The red camp rather see thousands of fellow county men die in violence, just in order to justify an armed struggle against others.

A thai citizen who accidentally found policeman wearing civilian clothes holding m16 weapon. That policeman did not give any explanation about the m16. Police hotline was called and 2 policeman on duty arrived and the thai citizen requested the uniform policemen to check the civilian clothe policemen's vehicle to see if there are other weaponry. The uniform policemen did not comply. Judging from the policemen holding the m16 who anxiously calling someone with his mobile and the other man beside seems agitated about the citizen videoing them, don't looks like they are on official assignment. Yesterday after midnight Anti-govt 2 dead, 21 wounded by m16, m79 at rally site. hmmm........

But of course we will give them the benefit of doubt.

There are dozens of videos such as that one, including the assassination on live TV of General Se Dang. Yellows, Dems, anti-Thaksinistas and Suthepistas will either say it was an accident, it was the "men in black" or the Reds pretending to be the army.
