UKIP - United Kingdom Independence Party

I was speaking to one of the European Candidates today about their policies should they do well in the European Elections next week. He was saying their job if they win is to basically be a real fly in the ointment, they know theres not much they can do by themselves.

He went on to say, if they do well in the National Elections next year, they hope to form a government coalition with either Conservative or Labour, as both parties are not against a referendum on membership of the European Union.

He said if we can control migrants from the EU, then we will bring in a rationing system, where a certain number of citizens are allowed in from various countries, there will also be free passes for spouses that are genuinely married or who can prove they have co-habitated for a significant period of time (3 years say).

While we have uncontrolled immigration from Europe, we cannot begin to even start to address genuine cases from overseas.

I asked him, if we could get married to a Thai Girl for 3 years and bring her to the UK for permanent residency ? He said, its seems entirely reasonable to assume that. WINK !!!

Not really reality related is it?

Nothing much that the OP writes generally is. He is asking us to believe that a party which has problems with white people migrating to the UK is not going to have problems with little brown people doing so.

ok

Can't be Thai related, as don't think the OP lives in Thailand.

However, it's a nonsensical thread as per usual from HO

Mainstream fed view on UKIP:

UKIP policy of imposing restrictions on EU citizens working in the uk and relaxing of restrictions on NON EU citizens = racist

CON/LAB/LIB policy of (very strict) restrictions on NON EU citizens - including those married to UK citizens - = not racist in the slightest and in fact just basic common sense

I see it as asking to believe that a party which wants to address the problem of an influx of economic migrants does not have a problem with foreigners who are genuinely married to a UK national.

Except the only reasons those non eu policies were put in place was to placate reactionary voters who would have leaned UKIP even more than they have.
