BBC Senior Managers from Minority Backgrounds Earn More Than Peers, Data Shows
Which indicates that you know nothing whatsoever about what has been happening at the BBC for the last thirty years …. DEI before it was ever heard of. I'm all for DEI, but yes, I don't know that much about what's been happening at the BBC. I'm a US citizen and a CNN watcher. But, even if the BBC has been practicing DEI "for the last thirty years," salaries between different races, national origins, genders, etc., shouldn't be different. If what you say is true, then the percentage of minorities would be more than it was historically, but it would now be approximately the same as the general population. And the salaries paid should be the same for the same type of worker regardless of their race, national origin, gender, etc... The only reason to pay an individual more than their peers is if results are better than theirs. My understanding of DEI is that it is applied to hiring, not compensation. -

Dog Barking Drama: When Neighbourly Conflicts Turn Threatening
Not just in 'third world Thailand' as you describe it. Even in these so called 'civilised' countries the problem is just the same. Especially in the countryside. I've lived in rural Portugal where they keep packs of hunting dogs in terrible conditions, barking all day and night. These poor dogs are treated like tools of the trade rather than living beings. I also lived in Spain where a horrible old woman living in the apartment below had a Scottie dog who she used to shove out on the window cill facing the street. I don't think the poor dog had ever been out for a walk and used to high pitch bark at everything that moved from dawn till dusk.. As long as it was indoors between the hours of 11pm-7am there was nothing anyone could do about it. Drove everyone in the street mad. Definitely not a Thailand problem, more like a human problem. People don't know how to look after dogs and don't care that they cause others a problem. My advice, choose where you live carefully. I choose condo's with a no pet policy. -

Well, I didn't hear you saying anything about Palestine taking child hostages; you are just playing favorites. You took us off topic, then blamed me for us being off topic. Lol. What do the hostages have to do with NATO on Russia's doorstep? Well, except from the fact that the war probably wouldn't have started if Ukraine had remained neutral and diplomatic towards Russia, rather than ignoring Russia's concerns about them trying to join NATO. Zelensky led his country into a war they could never win. Total idiot. -
