Visa application question

Featured Replies

I'm heading to Singapore to apply for a Non-Immigrant B tomorrow Mon the 19th, May. I'm currently in-between two visas my Ed Visa having expired March 21. The holidays during April and May resulted in a delay in processing my paperwork which is why the transition from one to the other has taken a bit longer than usual.

Because of this in-between two visas status I'm not sure what to fill in for the "Occupation" section on the Visa Application?

I'm no longer a student as my Ed Visa has expired so I don't want to write this in the section.

On the other hand I'm wary of putting anything else in the "Occupation" section as technically I'm not suppose to be working currently in Thailand. I had thought of listing previous occupations in the past while home in the USA such as photographer or business owner but am pretty certain the Occupation section refers to "current" occupation.

Would "unemployed currently" be my best option? Or should I leave it blank?

Any advice appreciated...smile.png

You can put what ever you want to in under occupation. It really does not matter. Occupation means your profession, If you are photographer that is what you can put.

To get the non-b the required documents you need to submit will have a job description on them.

Thank you Ubonjoe for the timely advice. I've verified that there's a complete job description in Thai of my duties in the wad of paperwork I'm to submit. Ur reply appreciated especially since I leave for Singapore in less than two hours and will be at the embassy tomorrow morning to submit the docs from my new employer. smile.png
