Hi

I need some sound advice.

I presently have a company in England which needs me to visit Thailand 2/3 times a year for exporting.

I want to start a business that allows me the freedom to come and go as I please. This would envolve a shipping agency, a shop and a bar in the Chiang mai area.

What are the basic steps to enable this?

2 million baht seems to come up allot, can you explain this fully?

Can the business by land?

My wife is Thai and would be the financial backer, however we need a small mortgage of about 2 - 5 million baht, is this possible?

If there are 2 falang what is the law then?

As a business partner what visa can I get?

And no I don't want a cheesy girl bar, it would envolve a more chilled approach involving Thai(university) and expat clientel. Cheers

Dear Ed,

I was looking at the name of your post. "STATE" your business. You certainly did, didn't you :o

And no I don't want a cheesy girl bar, it would involve a more chilled approach involving Thai(university) and expat clientel. Cheers

I always found that some things are better being thought about rather than being said out loud.
