Baerboxer
"He denied the military took over because police were incompetent" so says the deluded chief of police How many arms finds and arrests of those responsible for murder and attacks of protesters and innocents has the RTP made over several months compares to the Army's tally in several hours. If not incompetent then the suggestion must be there is another reason behind their lack of results. Whoops!

jcb2001
Most of the charges are "politically motivated" anyway which apparently doesn't count according to Tarit's boss, or just straight up bullying. So they should be suspended or turfed altogether. Tarit should be the one up on multiple charges. Would love to see him waddling around the yard, ball and chain, breaking rocks. You appear to be terribly misled or deliberately blind to the truth. Suthep, the evil monk and their gangs are the criminals. and Nuttawit and Jatuporn can do no wrong in your eyes, right?
Popular Post Scamper
" Tarit said Immigration Police arrested PDRC leader Seri Wongmonta at Suvarnabhumi Airport after he returned from the United States. " Tarit is still at it. He - or more likely Thaksin - hasn't taken the hint. Tarit's going after Dr. Seri, who is a cultural icon in Thailand - funny, engaging, bilingual, and worst of all from Pheu Thai's perspective - an intellectual. So this man - known instantly to millions of Thais over the years from television is off to Criminal Court. It's absurd. Beyond question Prayuth is going to put a stop to all this nonsense, despite what Adul says, because it must be remembered that Adul is a fervently strong Thaksin confidant. That's why he has the position he has, and that's why the police are viewed so suspiciously. It's not a question of just police incompetence, it's police bias. It's a heady combination of both. And it's clearly not going to be tolerated any longer.
HUAHIN62
I can't wait to see Suthep and his thugs arrested. Many citizens will be happy to see that justice is served. I will go celebrate at the bar that day. LOL Unfortunately my friend jail in this country are only for the poor and unconnected. There are no equality in Thailand's justice system and without that Thailand can never have a functioning democracy. This fact also show the degree of corruption in the courts. Does it show Suthep in the planning stages, then driving the guys who planted the stuff plus all the paperwork with Suthep's fingerprints all over it? Send it to the Army and they will deal with it. I assume that you are speaking for real and not from a dream sequence or something.

rickirs
The DSI does not issue arrest warrants. It presents an argument to the Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant based on probable cause by the submission of evidence. If the Court agrees there is probable cause (without judgement as to guilt), it authorizes the DSI to make the arrest. If the Court disagrees, there is no arrest warrant. So the military is telling DSI to stop going to the Court for new arrest warrants. I guess to the military it would less unconstitutional to tell DSI to stop submitting requests for arrest warrants than to tell the Court to stop issuing them. The military may also in the altenative be telling DSI not to proceed with the current arrest warrants to bring in the suspects - it's not clear if that is the military's intent. If it is, such order conflicts with the jurisdictional laws for which DSI must support. Better clarification is needed from the military as what it has said thus far appears to be more of an ill-advised (aka knee-jerk) reaction to bring overall calm to the political crisis. I will go celebrate at the bar that day. LOL and you will be happy to see all there followers go mad in the streets on BKK Thank god you have no say in Thailand The army are trying to cool things down and all many TVF members want is a riot so thet can have an excuse to have a beer Why not put all in Goal. Mr T, Suthep, Jatuporn, Abhisit. There would be a lot of tension in the yard, a few stray mobiles and the guards living in luxury. You could have the General as wardon, as he won't leave until they all do their time. Is Suthep allowed to visit the streets of Chiang Mai? Of course you can see that some people will ask, what is so special about Suthep and not Jatuporn; to that extent Mr T? Unfortunatly the world of Bangkok does not extend all over Thailand, so follows in other areas of different political persuasions will feel that there is nepotisim with such a decision. I don't want a riot but the enevitable should the General get this wrong may happen. I think this could be bigger than a riot. Nothing has been said of what the south are feeling about current events. I do hope that the resolve will happen and a peaceful return happens for Thai's.
