The kamnan previously called Suthep

Featured Replies

The other English language newspaper has for the last few days been referring to "the kamnan previously/formerly called Suthep".

I think I must have missed something in the news. If he's changed his name, what's his new name? And why isn't the paper using it?

Thanks.

Suthep hasn't changed his name. Kamnan means 'elder', I think. Maybe the 'journalist' meant to write that Suthep used to be an elder or a village elder. Given the rotten drivel passing for news over here, that seems the most likely explanation.

Don't think this is right. "The kamnan previously/formerly called Suthep" suggests (a) that he is still a kamnan, and (cool.png his name is no longer "Suthep". If this were a one-off in the newspaper concerned I'd ignore it, but it's been a few times now.

Wouldn't worry about it. Chill out, few beers before curfew. You'll get over it

Maybe he did a Gender change and is a woman now?

But I think that is very unlikely.

Did he get rid of the jack boots and moustache
