The other English language newspaper has for the last few days been referring to "the kamnan previously/formerly called Suthep".

I think I must have missed something in the news. If he's changed his name, what's his new name? And why isn't the paper using it?

Don't think this is right. "The kamnan previously/formerly called Suthep" suggests (a) that he is still a kamnan, and ( his name is no longer "Suthep". If this were a one-off in the newspaper concerned I'd ignore it, but it's been a few times now.

Maybe he did a Gender change and is a woman now?
