Bkkbound
As some people have indicated he's a lawyer, it's about who pays him, he's no worse than a lawyer defending a child molester, but ethics aside, someone has to do it, he will do all he can to get a not guilty verdict, and sometimes they do, knowing full well they're guilty. It's all about the money, and of course the publicity too. Thats Nopadoms defence too... Not sure it applies in thailand.
Mackie
Well there goes TVF. Only pro-yellows can comment, centrists and pro-reds no longer welcome. Good luck with monetizing that. I hope the boys and girls offshore share the limitations of our restrictions in their own way... That's nonsense and you know it. For the past two, three days I could barely sign in on TVF without having problems. Time and time again. And I'm pro-coup d'état. On the other hand, I've seen you made quite a lot of posts without having any problems.
Popular Post jcb2001
Love it. Cannot bad talk the coup or as I like to affectionately call it "the return to democracy" yingluck still in detention with Chalerm. No bombings of innocent protestors. If ever there was a perfect coup this is it. Well done General Prayuth. The way things are going with all the evils I discuss being removed or arrested I won't have anymore to say on this site and I am sure some would be very happy with that. A couple of days ago, when the coup was fresh, I had doubts about General P's intentions. I am so happy I was wrong about him. He's leaving nothing to chance or anything that Thaksin can run with. Great Job General.
WhizBang
Ha, ha, very good news, and long overdue. I would also assume Amsterdam is now on immigration's black list.

Isn't that one-sided? Surely the fair policy would be to disallow ALL comments, and just publish the original news story. You must have been the hall monitor when you were 8 years old. Dude grow up! Back on topic. RA is clearly trying to enrage the Thai military, and of course give his clients some sort relevance. Not doing a very good job IMO. In my book he is an international ambulance chaser looking for his next big payday. I hate lawyers.

dru2
^and it will never last I'm afraid unless they follow the North Korean model. And just what do you know about the 'North Korean Model'? Do you speak Korean? Have you been to the PDRK? Why do you make such trite, nonsensical comments? When I see a comparison by an internationally recognised expert such as Aidan Foster-Carter or Gavan McCormack I'll sit up and take notice. But you have never even heard of them have you? What childish, uninformed nonsense! Edited May 25, 2014 by dru2
ginjag
The NCPO will ask the Foreign Ministry to cut the lawyer's communication channels. They gonna cut his telephone line? A surgeon will arrive at his home and amputate-fingers and tongue.
Prbkk
A forum in which only one part of a very complex issue can be aired makes it a complete farce. Worthless. As for Amsterdam, it is folly to try to intimidate or pursue him. The only consequence of that will be to give him a much greater international audience.
american12bthai
There is no doubt who writes Jatuporn or Natawatt speeches. http://robertamsterdam.com/thailand/ He would be well advised to stay in Canada. The part that can be aired is the truthful part that sides with restoring true democracy to Thailand. See…Every cloud has a silver lining! Popular Post FangFerang
Nah, the international community is going to laugh at this. Thais have tried to press les majeste charges against foreigners in their own homelands, and received resounding raspberries. The Thais tried to patent a hand gesture in their dance, a hand gesture used by seven cultures...again, it was raspberries. More raspberries are in order. Do what you want in Thailand, but the rest of us speak our minds and dance.
