I need to get fingerprinted using a USA FBI fingerprinting form. Does anyone know if the police headquarters in Bangkok (near Siam) still provides this service or has it been suspended due to the recent coup?

The fingerprints are done at the Special Branch Police's offices where they do the police clearance certificates.

I can think of no reason for it being closed.

I made a recent criminal check request on May 21st, including getting my fingerprints done. All calm at the Royal Thai Police headquarters.

I made a similar request back in December during street protests, entered through front gates no problem. Had to use back entrance via police hospital next door to exit, bit of a labyrinth working way out!

When picking up my old criminal check in January, HQ was in lockdown except for back entrance, riot police fully kited up everywhere. Building 24 was still open so I got my certificate no hassle.

You'll need to leave some ID at front or back gate, so maybe bring your Thai driving licence along with passport.
