Visa Exempt Entry At Land Borders 15 Or 30 Days?

Featured Replies

Hi

I was hoping someone can clarify what length of stay is currently being issued at land borders for Visa Exempt entries. Is it still 30 days or has it gone back to being 15 days? From what I've been reading it sounds like some people have only been getting 7 days, and others have been denied even crossing the border....

My case is specific to Mae Sai and Chiang Khong (the North).

Thanks for any guidance.

how many out/ins in your passport already? what nationality are you?

I'm on two so it will (hopefully) be my third (and final).

British national.

If you are from a G7 country or one that has a bilateral agreement you will still get a 30 day entry otherwise it will be 15 days unless you already have 3 or more entries. More than 3 entries could mean no departure or 7 days on entry.

Yes, this is what I believed to be the case, just wasn't sure, especially with Mae Sai.

I'll take as much supporting documentation as possible - flight printout back to the UK (the end of June), proof of funds, etc.

Fingers crossed.
