This year I will be applying for an ED visa rather than my usual Non O (based on marriage). I actually want to learn Thai so I figured I might as well get an ED and save me going back to Europe.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here got an ED visa from Kuala Lumpur rather than Penang. Just noticed that there are no direct flights to Penang from Phuket (all pass via KL), so I might as well simply stop in KL.

If anyone did get their visa from KL, what are they like? Anything "extra" they expect from your application?

Unless you are attending a university you will not get a ED visa in KL.

You don't have to go to the UK to get your multiple entry non-o based upon marriage. You can get it in Savannakhet Laos.

You could also apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration.

There are direct flight Phuket-Penang please check it!

After the theft of visa stickers KL does not issue ED visas for students at language schools. Best choices to apply are Penang and Vientiane.

OK so Penang with Firefly it is then. Thanks for the info guys. Forgot about that airline! Savannakhet Laos I will try next year or if for some reason I don't get the ED Visa.
