Hi all.

I am currently here on a double entry tourist visa, the first 3 months are almost up, so tomorrow i am going to the border at nong khai/ Vientiane

to activate the second entry.

What i want to know is, do I have to go over the bridge and enter Laos , or do i get the exit stamp on the Thai side and cross the road and

re- enter and pay the fee all without crossing the bridge?

You have to cross the bridge and enter/depart Laos.

They check that you have the Lao stamps before stamping you back into Thailand.

That's a shame, do you know if it is still ok to go across then come straight back?

You can cross the bridge enter Laos and turn around and come right back.
