Residency permit for Non-Thai son if Non-Thai father has recidency permit?

Featured Replies

I recently read that one of the privileges of a residency permit is that the residency permit holder can apply for an extension of stay or even residence for Non-Thai family members:

A permanent resident also has a number of other privileges such as, for example, being able to:(a) buy a condominium without being required to transfer money from abroad;

(B) apply for naturalization in accordance with the law concerned;
© have Thai nationality granted to children who are born in Thailand;
(d) become a director of a public company; and
(e) apply for an extension of stay or permanent residence for non-Thai family members.

In short that's the case: I'm 26, 100% German, Non-Thai father has residency permit and lives in Thailand with Thai wife (not my biological mother!). Anybody got experience if it's possible to get residency here in such a case for me or any special visa?

In order for the extension or residency you must be younger.than 20 years old.

Per above, as an adult you do not fall into any category based on your parent(s). You will need to find your own reason to stay in Thailand, such as work or studying.
