in chiang rai wanting best option to get tourist visa need 3 months ?

Featured Replies

hi all new to this and virtually computer illiterate ( took me 3 hours to get this far ) can anyone tell me some options & approx costs would prefer to fly but bus train boat most probaly more viable ...

Thanks in advance

there haved been ads of very cheap flights chiangmai to hong kong..I think it is Hongkong Express from memory.

You can go to Vientiane Laos to get a single entry tourist visa that would give you a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at immigration.

You can get there by land or air. Nok Air has a fly/ride service to there from Chiang Mai via Udon Thani.

From Chiang Rai you would probably have to go via Bangkok by air.

Correct, the only international flight out of the Rai is Kunming/Changshui with China Eastern (MU), all others going to Bangkok either BKK or DMK.

Vientiane is good for the Visa, but you're supposed to go yourself to the consulate in Vientiane, although I saw a lot of "agents" with bulks of passports and applications.

Other option is Phnom Penh, it takes 4 days usually, but u can speed it up with a few dollar, but not shorter than 2 days. I dropped the PP at the Hotel, and it was 55$, 3 days. Normal fee is 40$. No questions asked, they did not even want my application form i prepared and printed out?
