90 day reporting when not in los.

Recommended Posts

i have retirement extension effective may 12, 2014. it expires june 7, 2015.

first 90 day report due is aug.11, 2014.

what if i leave the country june 8,2014 and return sep. 8 2014.

i would have missed the reporting deadline-will i have to pay the penalties or are they waived as i was out of the country?

Leaving Thailand negates the need for making a ninety-day report. Assuming that you return on 08 September, your next report is due ninety days after that entry.

PS - Make sure you get a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand or else your extension is cancelled!!

The 90 day clock restarts when you enter Thailand.. so you will need to report on Sep 8th + 90 days - make sure you have re-entry permit.

It is only continuous stays of 90 days that require reporting.

If you are not in Thailand for 90 continuous days then you don't need to report...

If you leave Thailand your new reporting date is 90 days from the date of return (that being day one).

As others have said make sure you get a re-entry permit to keep the validity of your current extention.
