Retirement visa

Featured Replies

i live in Thailand ;

and my 1 year multiple Retirement visa will expire 25 July 2014;

and every 90 days i go to immigration office to notify to stay longer than 90 days in Thailand that i am here;

in 9 june again will be another 90 days expire as in the end page of my passport shown (white paper).

but i want to fly to Europe around 12-15 june this month ( after 3-5 days 90 days notify expire; is it a problem ?)

and i will stay in Europe a month;l

and i will enter to Thailand back with 30 days visa on arrival

following apply for new retirement visa.

is that okey ?

thanks

p.s. do i have to go to immigration office at 9 june to notify 90 days?

or can i fly 12-15 june without notify 90 days at IMGR office?

You will have to report your stay (90 days), but you can do so by mail.

You should be able to get a new visa, if you go to the same consulate you got your current from. (Consulates might be hesitant to cancel a valid visa issued by another consulate).

It seem you have an extension of stay based upon retirement you got from immigration not a visa from an embassy or consulate.

If this is the case you should get a re-entry permit to keep your extension valid. Then apply for a new extension.when you return you are here before the July 25th.

You should do your 90 day report before leaving.

my retirement visa expired 25 July and my 90 days report expired 9 june(yesterday) and i did not go to IMR office to report it.

what for should i go to IMR office to report 90 days if i must fly 15 june home!!?

i have multiple non img. visa.

i will be back 14 july to Thailand and will make NEW retirement visa.basta.

its also okey when i return and get a normal 30 days visa on arrival..

and i can make a new retired visa again when i am return here.

You can make your 90 day report up to 7 days late. But that does not include leaving the country. You still have to make the report before leaving or you could be fined 2000 baht the next time you go to immigration.

Do you have a OA visa you obtained at an embassy or consulate or do you have an extension of stay you obtained at immigration. If it is an extension of stay you need a re-entry permit.

If you have a OA visa you will get a new one year entry when you return.

this is a little missleading, the OP obviously does NOT have a "multiple immi O" Visa, because he is reporting at immigration every 90 days. A multiple immi O is a Visa that is good for stays of up to 90 days each time, then having to actually LEAVE the country.

That is not obvious - he says he has a mutl entry retirement visa which is valid until July 25 but says he will return on July 15 using a 30 day visa exempt entry. This in itself makes no sense as if first year of visa each entry gets a new one year stay - if expired he would only require a re-entry permit to allow return on current stay until July 25 and be able to obtain new extension of stay after return. If he currently has extension of stay he can also do that same (and he says has multi entry so must already have the re-entry permit). Why he is asking about a 30 day visa exempt entry is not clear.
