Traveling to Laos for visa

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm new here I've been here 1 month and I'm going to Laos in 3 days to get a double or multiple entry visa. What with the current situation should it be ok to go? Steve.

No problem to make the trip Vientiane.

You can get a two entry tourist visa there. Tourist visas are not issued as multiple entry.

This is a bit off topic, but I'm in Savannakhet and wondering if there can be any problem entering Thailand. This will be my 4th tourist visa. I get the impression that exiting and entering the country might create some suspicion. Or will I be just OK with a valid VISA? Another option is to travel to Vientiane, so it looks like I'm "really traveling"

I you have a valid visa you will have no problem entering the country.

If you apply at the Vientiane consulate on either Monday or Thursday it'll be crowded as hell: hordes of visa agency clients. The other days are fine.

I applied in Vientiane on Tuesday May 20; it was almost deserted.

You can also try Savannakhet, because it's usually quieter there.
