In person turn around time for double entry tourist visa?

Featured Replies

Howdy everyone!

I'm looking at getting a 2 entry tourist visa.

There is a Thai consulate near me in Miami (I'm in Florida), and I'm wondering what the turn around time is for a tourist visa.

Assuming I have my application filled out correctly, and have all my other documents (passport, travel tickets, 2 photos, bank statement, etc) will I walk out of there with the double entry visa on my passport? Or will they still have to send the passport back to me via mail or some such?

Just trying to determine if I should bother driving down and wasting the day as it's going to cost the same amount in time/money to do this as it would to send it to an expediting company.

If the consulate still has to send it to me, I would be better off sending it to an expediter.

Thank you!

Can't say about Miami or any where else int the States but any consulate around Thailand the wait is 24 hours or so. Usually turn in PPW prior to noon and get your PP back the next afternoon.

Best to check the Miami consulate website for timings.

OK, website is pretty useless. Call them. It is an Honorary consulate which are sometimes more helpful. Check the timings.

PIck up the phone and call and ask them.

Contact info for the consulate in Coral Gables is here on their website: http://thaiconsulatemiami.com/

You can ask them about applying in person and then mailing passport with the visa back to you.

NY Consulate is a minimum of 25 hours -- drop off in the morning only, pick up the following afternoon.
