Dog clubs in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Sorry I know this is a dumbg question, but I was thinking of owning a beagle, dachshund or basset hound, however it is inconvenient at the time. Do you in Thailand there are dog / pet clubs where I can learn and meet owners?

I went to Hua Hin this weekend.

There are some "dogs" in Thailand and they can be found in many clubs if you look, some have married and their owners can often be seen walking out with them if you want to chat.

BUT, in direct response you may be better with this in the Pet forum.

Michael, what part of Thailand do you live in ?

There are dog show in BKK regally, often in varies shopping centers. The main dog club of Thailand, (I forget its name) is very unhelpful, its staff I mean. Their website for English is horrid and doesn't translate well in Google.

There are a surprising about of group and breed clubs as well that often have their specialty shows on the same day utilizing Intl judges from other groups in the main show..

I would recommend the park in front of Ministry of Public Health at Chaeng Wattana. It is a legit dogs allowed park and filled with Thai dog owners and a sprinkle of expats.

I would normally take my dogs there on weekends to socialize them. Mostly, friendly owners and has a picnic kind of atmosphere.

If you see a guy with a GSD, American Eskimo, Bangkeaw, Shihtzu, Golden Retriever and a Labradoodle, come and say hi...that's me.

But no sudden movements towards me as my GSD is a trained protective dog.
