Thai Lady is pissed (mad) at me

Recommended Posts

Sounds to me like you're paying too much. For 30000 THB per month you could get 2 full time nurses.

No tip. Just pay her the overly generous 1000 for that day.

Off topic. But I may soon need a live in nurse. She need not be qualified. . She should be able to drive. Can I get one for Bt15,000

I live near Hua HIN

In Chiang Mai I'm sure you can. Don't know about hua hin.

1000 baht a day for a domestic care assistant?...

no wonder she's upset that her contract is being terminated!

you are too nice, be careful

Just another greedy Thai woman who want to extend her contract, kick her out without any tip, you give her twice as any nurse is asking for already.

Aside from the recent 'attitude', has she completed her work to a satisfactory standard? If so (IMHO), a small tip would be appropriate (bear in mind that you might want her to 'temp' again in the future).

If she has performed "above and beyond" then a generous tip is called for.

"above and beyond' the job description, well now that's mighty interesting and if true, I repeat my earlier comment, have you made your own problem?.

If he made his own problem then he may have to consult this.....

Ok. Sorry for the late response. Please remember, when I wrote this post I was drunk very very drunk and I get a little emotionally insecure. I hate when someone is mad at me for something I feel was not my fault.

I'll try to answer all the questions asked or comments made.

Yes, she knew this was a temp job because I like my first gal a lot. So I was a little shocked at her becoming shocked when I told her may gal is coming back to Patong in 2 days... "whatever" would have been sober response. Most likely the correct response as well.

Come on guys, whereustay in disguise, same style, except he did not mention sweating, or if he had weighed her,3 post's ,i am not falling for it,in a wheelchair, this is sinking low even for whereustay,i am sure it is him, check the writing style"i know this is last minute" who the hell say's that unless he is off to see the sweating hi so teacher again,i wonder what his laundry bill is from cleaning those sweat and excretion soaked sheets, come on now whereustay admit it is you.

What?! blink.pngWhen reading posts I bare in mind that grammar and the spelling of English maybe poor as it may not be the poster's first language, but this truly confuses me. What do you mean by sweating, a teacher, and what's wrong with my style of writing? If you want to know where I staying, it's in Patong, Phuket. Yes, she helps me clean in the shower but I have the hotel do the laundry. I stated that I was in a wheelchair to give people reading an idea of what and why I need special help. It was not to gain sympathy. I hope that answers your questions/comments.

Have you made your own problem?

--I don't think I did. I just over reacted to her attitude. Had I been sober, I'd have brushed it off as I did the following day.

Have you flirted with the temp girl?

--Nope. I gave no signs of love or anything like that.

Has she completed her work to a satisfactory standard?

--Yes, she was very good helping me, however, I should note that she is not a nurse or an aid. I met her through a lady friend that works with her from time to time at Tipan (a disco in Patong). She's a 'freelancer'.

I asked her for the following help before she was hired:

I need some help dressing as my hip and shoulder are still mending from a fall. Both were broken.

I needed assistance in the shower as well. The accessibility in Thailand isn't the greatest and I wanted her in case a fall.

She also assisted me in using the toilet.

Any errands I needed done, she did as well. Getting food, drinks, meds or whatever.

What I did not ask of her, but she did on her own accord:

Hand jobs in the morning

An occasional BJ

A hair cut from head to toe.

Screwing one or more times in the evening.

I'm guessing the above mentioned behavior is indicative to her chosen profession. I did tell the once that she did not need to do that to be repectful, but she went on. I'm a guy and I'm not about to say no to the above.

On the day of her departure, she looked a little sad (do to a lack of a good gig, I'm sure) but made no fuss. I did give the tip.. many timescheesy.gif

Seriously, I gave her 2k more and she was surprised and confused. I did this because she was great to me and if I find myself without help, I can call on her.

I hope this answers any questions and apologize for my drunken post. I hope it entertained some of you. biggrin.png

choose , generous. maybe you can utilize this person in another manner and help her feel her life is valid and important. I'd rather over pay that short change. it all comes back to us. Life from a wheelchair, it is well understood. take care of yourself, it makes it easier to help others.

Easy.... when #1 comes back, tell her the situation and tell her to handle it. Report good service from #2.

Put all info, complete info, in #1 hands including deciding on tip.

Good luck, but I am sure this will work.

You are overpaying, you are ruining it for all the long term expats OMG!

Don't you know that we expats only pay for the noodles and condoms?

You pay for condoms??? Omg there is half your budget.. Cut that out.

Just use the mamma plastic.

Sent from my c64

Or used plastic bags from street vendors. But be careful if there was Naam Prick inside....

OP, couldn't you keep both and pay them 500 baht each?

If you are not happy with her service, why give her any extra gratuity? Unless you already promised it and the money is basically part of the deal. Sounds like you are paying a substantial wage, I assume these caregivers are well qualified and educated, I certainly hope so.

I guess you'd just have to ask yourself: would I ever employ this person again? And would the additional tip, or withholding of such, have any affect on future service?

In Bangkok 1000 thb per 12 hours is a good price for a qualified professional English speaking nurse. Any cheeper is probably not really a nurse but just a random girl who helps you out (nothing wrong with that depending on your situation). Those guys saying 1000 a day is overpaying have no idea what they are talking about, again. Or maybe they jus live on the middle of nowhere , might be cheaper there.

I think location affects salary levels don't you?

The girl can go get a job on Bangkok then, or maybe Singapore or Toddington where I am sure the salary level would be even more.

Does any body understand what marko kok prong is saying. NOT ME. Another poster was right you must have had some kind of understanding with the temp that she would be let go when your steady came back. If she is worth 1000B a day you should tip her about 2000B and wish her well and let her know that if your steady takes another trip you would like to have her come and take care of you again. I know women who would take good care of you for far less than that and do a good job. Things that boggle the mind here always!!!!!!!!!

Here's the best advice I can give you.

Are you getting these little extra benefits from nurse #1? If not, fire her and get nurse #2 back [doesn't matter if she isn't a real nurse - she did a good job of playing nurse, didn't she?]. And request that she wears a sexy little nurse outfit.

You only live once.
