Mr. Pramond: the oil price hike and the strengthening of baht currency have caused negative impacts on entrepreneurs

The President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Pramond Suthiwong (ประมนต์ สุธีวงศ์), has revealed that the oil price hike and the strengthening of Thai baht currency have caused negative effects on entrepreneurs.

He said that oil is one of the key factors of production, adding that if oil prices have decreased, entrepreneurs would have made more profit. He informed that the soaring of oil prices also has an impact on investment, while the strengthening of Thai baht currency has affected the exporting sector.

Mr. Pramond nevertheless believes that entrepreneurs can adjust their businesses following the fluctuating situation.
