What was the biggest lie and hoax you ever read in a book or travel guides about Thailand ?

Many books claim that it's very unpolite to give anything with left hand or to eat with it, but I've sen many times when Thai's use left hand for these actions, but usually only seen it in Bangkok, where the conservative culture values have been changing little by little. Even seen on some Thai talk show where the host used left hand for eating.

Visible dirt.

Disgusting isn't it.

I know three people currently receiving treatment for infections, I have known many more over the years experiencing the same thing, All in the same part of the body.

If taking off my shoes is a prerequisite for entering your house, I'll give it a miss thanks, doubt I'd learn anything useful anyway.
