i am on a ED visa, and i am now in malesia for a short holiday.

I went to the immigration to do my re-entry, but now i am thinking what i have to write in the entry card when i will be back in thailand?

in the entry card they ask the visa number. Which number i have to put? the re-entry number? actually i am not also sure which one is the re- entry number.

Can anyone help me about it?

I am also thining if i have to complete the second part of the entry paper, when they ask about income ecc.... since i am living here in thaland and i see that only not residence have to complete that.

Sorry, i know maybe they are easy question, but i am a bit confuse. And i will like to do every thing in the proper way

Use your re-entry permit number, on the questions on the back, just put a basic guess if you wish. Those questions are for survey purposes only, if understand correctly.

You put your re-entry permit number on the card.

On the re-entry permit stamp their is number that should have 2557 in it if it was issued this year.

ok i just open my passport. Actually yhe re-entry permit have to number write with pen.

1 is long and is on top of the re-entry

than there is another one short with 5 number that they write inside the re-entry permit. In the Number space.

Actually wich of the two is the number?

Is a long or a short number? Is it normal that they write it with pen?

I want to share my experience when I left the country with my re- entry permits then came back always have difficulty in reading the permit numbers so I always left arrival card blank section for visa type but never been question but onced I got stamped I always checked the dated stamp if correct so far I don't have problem. I do this whenever I travel to other countries as I have case before when I filled a arrival form from another country the officer told me if you don't know leave blank and you will be asked and told how to fill it

Ha! You mean people have actually filled in those questions in the middle of the TM6 card?

I've always ignored them as I thought it was a completely irrelevent section, and no business of anyone, unless you wanted to volunteer your private details for someone to stick their nose into. Or am I being bloody minded?

Below is an example of a recent re-entry permit. With this example, you would use the number 21123/57.

now i understand where is the number.

the problem was that in my Re-entry in the number space: they write the number but they did not write /57 . that make me confuse.

Also in my re-entry, on top of the re-entry but outside they write e long number and at the end /57

anyway now everything is clear to me. I will write the number that you show me.

The other number may be the file number for your extension. Look at your most recent extension stamp to see if it has the same number.
