Adding Singapore Bank Account To Thai Paypal

Featured Replies

Its been said that you can open a bank account at HSBC Singapore and withdraw funds from a Thai paypal account to it. However, when I log into my Thai paypal account, and click 'add bank', it forces me to add a US account only.

Any comments? Is anyone in Thailand now with a Thai paypal account who can click 'add bank' and tell me if they have other options?

Below is from PAYPAL.com website....

Users in these countries cannot withdraw funds to their local bank account electronically or by paper check. They can withdraw funds to a U.S. bank account only.

Costa Rica

Dominican Republic

Iceland

Israel

Malaysia

Thailand

The best way around it is to open a bank account in US, UK, or Australia then open a paypal account linking that bank to it. Which country are you from? Im not sure how much longer Paypal will be available in Australia as I did hear that Consumer affairs were taking a close look at them. A Thai Paypal account is a waste of time.
