Popular Post webfact
Duck Stampede Floods Thailand RoadRalphie AversaThe daily commute can be quite the grind. Maybe you deal with bumper-to-bumper highway traffic or crowded subway cars. Perhaps your route is so unpredictable that sometimes a 15-minute drive can turn into a 45-minute one.But at least your daily commute isn't a quack ... literally.Jack Sarathat lives in Thailand and was driving through Nakhon Pathom, about an hour west of Bangkok. Suddenly he was forced to bring his car to a halt. About 100,000 ducks were on the loose and taking over the rural road in the Bang Len district.Full story: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/100-000-ducks-flood-thailand-road-172448594.html-- YAHOO! ClutchClark
Why do the drivers continue to attempt to drive forward rather than give room for the ducks to pass most quickly?
Seastallion
Stampede? Looked very orderly to me. It also looked like they have been herded before and knew where they were going. All I could think of while watching was Peking Duck.

Popular Post Bulldozer Dawn
Well, hats off to that farmer. No one. And I mean no one, can accuse him of not having his ducks in a row.
siampolee
Possibly the duck herder(s) was or are Shakespeare fan(s) and he (they) was (were) collecting his (their) Duckets and was thus thinking of Shylock in The Merchant of Venice and his plea to his daughter concerning his Ducats. ultimate weapon
surprised that no duck was run over. Amazed that they actually stopped and waited for the ducks to pass, i mean they probably wouldn't do the same if they were humans and so many ppl die due to road accidents yet surprisingly not a single duck was hurt. randyoon
Notice how nobody is trying to cut in line. All are moving in an orderly fashion, even when they come to a stop.
jacko45k
Why do the drivers continue to attempt to drive forward rather than give room for the ducks to pass most quickly? They don't pay road tax, shouldn't be blocking traffic like that!

Never fails to amaze me how there's always someone standing by to rush in and post some Thai bashing message no matter how lighthearted the thread or how fantasized the connection to the bash. Bah humbug. Edited June 19, 2014 by Suradit69

They won't even let children and old ladies cross the road, why would ducks make a difference?

Popular Post renaissanc
I can explain this. The ducks are from Cambodia. They are living in Thailand illegally without a work permit. They have heard that there is a quackdown on illegal ducks, so they are fleeing the country. So, move along, folks. There's nothing to see here.
