I have lost my driving license (already the renewed one, valid for 5 years) ... can anyone tell me what the process is to get a replacement license (or would I have to do it again?? )

Get an official police report of the loss. That may help get a replacement. I have always kept a copy for just such a purpose but you do not need that for the police report. Just your passport.

It happened to me a couple of years ago. It's easy to get it replaced. Go to the police station on Soi 5 Beach Rd and get a police report saying you lost it. It's very routine for the cops as it happens fairly often

Take that to get the replacement from DLT. As I recall nothing else except passport needed. Maybe someone who has had it happen more recent has better info.

When I got my last licenses I was told to keep the payment receipt for exactly this reason (it contains all the details of the original issuance), you will still need a police report and your passport, but apparently there's much less red tape to deal with at the LTO when in possession of the receipt too.
