How ever the ones who don't want her are not making their judgment based on her Forensic ability but on her ability to judge mine detectors that have fooled many experts around the world. For all any one knows the ones used in the tests were that good and it was a sound judgment based on the test's.

Now if the test's had been conducted with the ones that were delivered her decision might have been different.

So what I can see is the anti people think she is fully qualified to do the job just not to judge mine detectors that have been switched.

I guess it is unanimous she is the best person for the job.

Arguing over the words Nepotism ?? Nepotism has always been used in my line of work where friends of friends have got where they are by through WHOM they know and not what they Know.

There's a big difference in my world where not having a contract extended does not equate to being sacked, especially if she remained in employment but within another department. Sacked means having your contract terminated through gross negligence or a breach of company procedures, it means you're out the door, it doesn't mean a sideways move, it means gone, buh-byee, cheerio, adios, done, dusted, finished.. !!

In more modern usage the meaning of nepotism.has come to include providing friends with unfair or unjust benfits.

When a colleague is wrongly.promoted into a job because he is big mates with the boss this is in modern usage known as nepotism.

Sorry if I confused anyone, but in newspapers in the UK at least nepotism is used a the time to describe inappropriate political appointments to either friends or family. The Oxford dictionary definition include friends, some don't. That's good enough for me.

I am quite impressed to see that it is possible to get things going in the right direction in a very short period of time. Compared to the number of years when progress and positive developments was only to the benefit of a few, i'd say - well done so far.

Have you read of the utter mess she created during the tsunami? the controversy she caused sticking her nose into those cases in Malaysia? And then of course the GT 2000.

I would prefer my forensics people very quiet and discrete.

Fortunately for Thailand you don't get to choose.
