June 24, 201412 yr Hi Visa experts-I have an Ed Visa with appropriate extensions and would like to continue my studies at a Thai language school. However I am moving from Prachuap Khiri Khan to Chonburi soon and therefore need to change my education provider. Question is, can I transfer my current extension of stay which expires in September, to a new provider without having to reapply for a visa and go outside of Thailand? What sort of cost will this entail outside of the cost of the school of course? and can anyone recommend a good school in Chonburi/Pattaya etc Thanks for any advice
June 24, 201412 yr It can be done but it will be more complicated since you will be changing immigration offices. You will first need to enroll in a new school and get the paper work started to a apply for a new extension. Then after the paper work is ready you will need to cancel your existing extension You will need a letter stating you have finished at your current school with the date you will stop going to classes. On or before that date you can then cancel your extension and apply for a 7 day extension. Then with paperwork from the new school apply for a new extension at Jomtien immigration.
