June 23, 200620 yr Now the wife wants to know how much a beer costs at the World Cup stadium and how much you get and if you can get ice in your beer and does the ice cost extra or is it cheaper with ice.
June 29, 200620 yr Author don't any of you have any friends...with email accounts...who drink beer...who have attended a world cup match this year....who bought a beer in the stadium...who are polite enough to reply to your email enquiring about the cost of a beer in the stadium? I don't....that's why I'm asking. Edited June 29, 200620 yr by chownah
June 29, 200620 yr Chownah, in today´s World cup section in the local Prensa Libre (newspaper of Guatemala), as there was not much to report on the second rest day before the 1/4 finals, they filled it with all kinds of crap. So the reporters over there in germany say that: Apparently, a hot dog costs about 3.5 Euro´s (168 baht) A large-ish Plastic Cup with : ---a Coke costs about 4.25 Euro´s (200 baht) ---a beer costs about 5.50 Euro´s (265 baht) Conversions performed using www.xe.com/ucc/convert.... Oh, and apparently, Outside the stadiums, to get your face painted, costs 5 Euro´s (240 baht) A non official replica shirt of your country costs 15 euro´s (725 baht) Same same but for brazil (the michael jordan of football) a shirt costs a stunning 75 Eur (3619 baht) there you go. PS: I´m sure I must have a friend or two with email in euirope, but hey... Edited June 29, 200620 yr by kayo
June 30, 200620 yr Author Kayo, Thanks for that!! My wife was not too surprised at the price for the beer...her solution to the high price was to fill up on beer before entering the stadium....a very practical woman when sober but if she filled up on beer before entering I would be worried that once inside the stadium show would ring the bell!! Thanks again, Chownah
June 30, 200620 yr That´d be a rather large round to buy! let´s see 5.50 euro´s * (60.000 fans+400 trechnical support, players, coaches+200 press+140 photographers) 334070 euro´s (16,295,469.91 THB) Rather expensive world cup if you ask me. Better off buying a 5.50 beer at the bar.
