Activating 2nd Entry on a Tourist Visa

I need to activate the 2nd entry on a tourist visa soon. I got the impression that the latest visa crackdown is generally hitting visa runners on "visa exempts", but I had heard a few cases of people with genuine tourist visas having problems. Has anyone got recent news/experience on this ? If I go to Mae Sai, for example, am I likely to experience any problems ? Do I need to show 20K Baht or anything else ? Would it be better going to another checkpoint ? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have not seen any recent reports about Mae Sai asking for the 20k baht. You should not have a problem getting your entry.
