DMC1
Individual concert I would say 'The Who' at Wembley with Zak Starkey on drums. Some of the festivals are superb too. My particular favourite was Reading (UK) in 1998. Best overall live act though for me for just shear fun & energy would be ACDC.
mca
Mine was the Ramones, I've lost count of how many times I've seen them. "LOBOTOMY! LOBOTOMY!" in the mosh pit. Ah memories.... Too many good ones to list the best. Slayer, The Damned, Public Enemy ( 7 times), Schoolly D, KRS-1, Henry Rollins, The Prodigy, Eric B and Rakim, Motorhead, Big Audio Dynamite, The Cramps, The Specials, LL Cool J, Stetsasonic were up there though But the loudest? Surprisingly Sigue Sigue Sputnik at Norwich UEA. They certainly went up to 11. Edited June 27, 2014 by mca

BillyBobThai
Jethro Tull 1978 & 1980 in Atlanta, best performance ever. Saw the Stones in Mobile, Al, 1971. Five of us went and took a cigar box full of rolled joints, must have been over 200. Don't remember driving back.
Bpuumike
Hendrix last one at Cambridge Circus in London. Procul Harum as the warm up with their one and only hit. Then Jimi, 15 min drum solo while they worked on the amps. Ended with usual poetry reading from the back of his guitar, in between playing it with his teeth, and finally trashing it and the amps. Don't remember the rest of the night. Whatever.

antsrule
Vienna 1786, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri - duelling harpsichords. A battle of the Giants - the free spirit genius vs the grand technical master For contemporary I give it to Jose Itirbi duet with his daughter in the Film "My Daring Daughters" or the Welsh/Zulu duet in the movie "Zulu". For live performance I nominate Verdi's Aida played in Cremona Italy 1993. Many thanks to the benevolent Giovanni Carutti. For hard rock Black Sabbath rip my friend.

Popular Post sunshine51
10 December 2007 O2 Arena London...Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert... Prior to that great day I never had the chance to see Led Zep in concert at any time because things always got in the way...military service & a war, wrong place-wrong time, intergallactic cosmological connundrums etc. Looking back on times past today I did see quite a few great concerts; Clapton, Deep Purple, Hendrix, Spirit, Savoy Brown and others however... Led Zep live in concert always escaped me. That all changed when the missus & I were on Bali covering some UN world environmental summit that only accomplished setting up another summit meeting, when an old friend and audio engineer called and said he has 6 passes to the gig at the O2 Arena and two had me & the missus names on them. Would we care to get to London asap? I had waited 39 very long years to see Led Zep. This time the the entire universe was in agreement that I could finally have my wish granted. Fourteen long songs and two encores later I was, quite simply, blown away. The missus reaction?...Make that two blown away people.

Popular Post JoeInSurin
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band and Charlie Daniels Band at the Capital Center, Largo Maryland in 1974. Also Led Zeppelin in the same venue in 1976. Great memories. I also took my wife to Oz fest ( Ozzy Osbourn) the first month she was in the States in 1999. Naked women and ganja everywhere. I think she was in shock for a month.
