Are "Private" browsing browsers really private?

Don't give your name and pay in cash when you buy your device, don't give your name and pay cash when you buy Internet time. Hide your face from cameras. Park your car miles away. Take an indirect route. Change your appearance frequently. Don't be a creature of habit.

Excellent- the only thing you forgot is don't forget to go to bed wearing a tin foil hat. A question to the OP- what are you trying to hide ( unless you are contemplating Jihad- then I would be be very careful)

Look into Startpage. Their claim is to be the most private search Engine. You can connect to them via HTPPS to keep your local ISP in the dark. They have an option to browse and search through them, and even if Google records the search, it's not under your IP.

Nothing yet, but if someone moves the goalposts? I have always had a healthy distrust of people with power who think they know best.

You should try a tin hat for a week, see if it makes a difference, nothing to hide, nothing to fear from tin hats. You never know your sense of humour may recover.

use TOR for browsing and following the instructions.

CCleaner

Tor doesn't work......

Even the Austrian police can catch people who posted racist things by using Tor.

Racist things in newspaper surely won't call for the best specialists

Austrian police aren't the brightest people on this planet (even more when they proudly tell that they can do it).
