Hi, everybody. My question is that my wife has a land and we plan to build about 20-30 rooms to rent to thai people, about 3,000/month. Since I am gonna spend more than 2 millions it would be a good idea to own the business, mainly in order to get a year visa or/and a future work permit or let my wife be the owner, taking about taxes, troubles...

I don´t know if taxes are the same in case the owner is a farang or a thai.

On the other hand, I don´t wanna miss the chance to get the benefits of investing two or more millions, if any. thank you.

Collecting 3,000bht rents from 30 poor people every month?

Sounds like a headache.

If you have some extra cash laying around, the Wife does all the work, keeps her happy, why not?

For 400,000bht deposit, you can get a wife support VISA. Good for a year.

From my understanding, if you call it a hotel, you can own the hotel operating company 100% and are elligble for work permits and so on. Your wife can own the land and the building could be joint owned. As you are planning an operating company there should be less problems.

Greg from Sunbelt will give more accurate information.
