Muay Thai - Work Permit ?

Hi

does anybody know if fighting in professional Thai Boxing fight is consider, are you allowed to take part in them or do you need a work permit first ?

Professional fighting is work.

If you don't stay long, you can get a 15 day emergency work permit. That is what artists do when they come to Thailand to perform.

I was planning on applying for the visa B, but I'm not sure if they will accept for the purpose of doing Thai Boxing

Would you know if they would accept me for that purpose and if so what will I need to get it ( e.g, letter from Thai Boxing Camp ) ?

Never heard of someone getting a non-B for Thai boxing.

People sometimes get a non-ED visa for joining a boxing camp for training. But an ED-visa does not allow working. Not sure how they will handle you participating in a professional contest.

A Thai boxing camp will have more knowledge.

The Thai London Embassy has thai boxing listed in the B category

According to their own website there is only one boxing academy accredited to MoE for ED visa.

Also, internet sources report that 'B' visas are not issued anymore for the purpose.
